Earth has existed without these, and it will live on without them. They are but the ephemeral sparks of its violent rotation.<\/b><\/i><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #333333;\"><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: large;\"><span lang=\"en-US\"><i><b><br \/>\n<\/b><\/i><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #333333;\"><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: large;\"><span lang=\"en-US\"><i><b>Let us unite, let us hold each other tightly, let us merge our hearts, let us create \u2014 as long as the temperature of this earth endures, as long as no earthquakes, cataclysms, icebergs or comets come to annihilate us \u2014 let us create for Earth a brain and a heart, let us give a human meaning to the superhuman struggle.\u201d<\/b><\/i><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #333333;\"><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: large;\"><span lang=\"en-US\"><i><b><br \/>\n<\/b><\/i><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: large;\"><span lang=\"en-US\"><b>Nikos Kazantzakis \u201cTravels\u201d<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p lang=\"en-US\"><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: large;\">Following the author&#8217;s text and having been inspired by it many years ago, we observe that conditions on the planet are changing rapidly, making the present and tomorrow even more uncertain for humans. Scientists are talking about the critical decade 2020 \u2013 2030, and we need to understand that the kind of life we ultimately want to live, we decide it on a daily basis in the way that we do actually live.
